JAPANESE RESTORATION

+ instant JP⇄EN hotkey · dual-language display

That-Ruben

The western release of HENPRI still ships the entire Japanese version inside it: the fonts, the UI string tables, and a ja slot in every one of the 73,276 dialogue blocks. Only the Japanese text itself was swapped for a placeholder, and the language option was hidden.

This patch puts the Japanese back, and finishes the engine's own half-built dual-language mode.

FEATURES

  • 日本語 as a 4th languageConfig → WINDOW → LANGUAGE
  • L instant JP⇄EN toggleworks mid-scene, and flips the backlog too
  • K dual-language displaythe other language in small type above the text — unfinished and disabled in the engine, completed here. Off by default.
  • Authentic Japanese UI artconfig screens, loading screen and more, restored where the localization replaced them

  2. v2.2 — .080 no longer overrides the game's own .061 hotfix (a wrong outfit in one scene).
  3. v2.1 — character portraits in the Japanese backlog; popup menu closes after 1s instead of 5s.
  4. v2 — dual-language display (K).
  5. v1 — first release.
